Job Description
Overview: Direct the overall resources of the Customer Supply Chain and Logistics (CSC&L) execution functions supporting the Retail, B2B, BDI and KSNA businesses in North America including order management, distribution management, transportation management/logistics execution and customer relationship management.
Lead and direct the CSC&L teams to constantly focus on continuous improvement and achieve market- leading levels of customer service.  Create a team environment that infuses positive energy, unity, accountability and cohesion into the order-to-cash processes, enabling the CSC&L team members to deliver solutions that delight the customer.
Work in partnership with the Sales, Marketing, Sales Planning, Operations, Quality, Finance and SC functions to develop and implement appropriate service and customer collaboration models to meet the diverse needs of the Morton Salt/K+S Windsor Salt and KSNA customer base within agreed to service, cost and cash levels

Responsibilities: 1.     Direct all efforts of the CSC&L team, effectively utilizing all resources available to ensure high levels of service are provided to Morton Salt/K+S Windsor customers in the U.S. and Canada.
2.     Leads the overall order-to-cash (OTC) value stream process for Morton Salt/K+S Windsor Salt in North America. Adopts a continuous improvement mindset to continually look for and implement changes, large and small, to improve our OTC processes from service, cost and cash perspectives.
3.     Supports and participates in the Morton Salt/K+S Windsor Salt Integrated Business Planning processes.
4.     Develops and manages an integrated corporate logistics and distribution strategy that supports the overall strategic plans of the Morton Salt/K+S Windsor Salt business, the Salt BU, and the K+S Group.
5.     Enhances relationships with customers and Morton/Windsor Salt Sales and Marketing to promote an environment that effectively communicates and manages needs, issues, performance, accountability and expectations.
6.     Ensures that the company's logistics and distribution systems are working effectively and efficiently.  Develops metrics to measure system performance.  Partners with the Information Technology group to manage improvements and enhancements to systems.  Continues to explore processes and systems that can add value to the logistics and distribution process.
7.     Develops and manages relationships with 3PL partners to ensure high service level expectations are met or exceeded. In the near term manages the transition to a new 3PL distribution network with new partners along with the transition to a managed services model for transportation planning. 
8.     Establishes budgets for the CSC&L function and implements the necessary controls to keep expenditures within budgetary limitations.
9.     Identifies the processes and resources required to continually advance the CSC&L organization.  Defines how to more effectively use technology to drive down costs while increasing the value that the CSC & L team can provide.
10.  Creates and maintains an environment that supports the Morton Salt and K+S Group values.
