Job Description

  • Accountable for providing secretarial support of a confidential nature for the General Manager and all other salaried individuals in the facility.
  • Accountable for maintaining employee records on the employee records website, and in other areas as required.
  • Accountable to performing support to Human Resource/safety activities, including but not limited to maintaining bid system records, updating communication systems for the General and assisting at union contract negotiations.
  • Accountable for maintaining office supplies for the facility
  • Accountable for backing up the Payroll Clerk during absences
  • Accountable for maintaining switchboard for all calls not routed through voice mail system.
  • Additional task – assists with ERP, helps organize events at the facility, sends out & maintains Contractor Pre-Qualification Surveys.


Morton Salt has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant for our Silver Springs , NY location. The AA will act as the Secretary for the General Manager, while providing clerical support to the Management Team.

Job Requirements

The right candidate will have advanced Microsoft Office skills and prior experience in an office setting .  A High School diploma or equivalent is required, a related two-year degree preferred.
