Job Description

The Sales Analyst, Strategic Retail Accounts jobholder will support the Kroger/Meijer National Account Manager to achieve annual plan targets and objectives. In this role, the jobholder will provide overall business analysis, transform information into insights, work with customers replenishment teams, make in-person sales calls to some Kroger divisions, and provide overall back office support.

Business Analysis
Update/customize presentations with sales data utilizing the resources available (IRI, Nielsen, Market 6, 84.51, Meijer VendorNet, etc.)
Assemble post-event analytics to evaluate account specific trade and digital promotions
Mine data for trends to uncover opportunities and vulnerabilities to the business
Customer Replenishment
Manage communication and relationship with multiple buyers
Scheduled bi-weekly calls and as needed when challenges arise
PO issues and ship-to allocation break downs
Complete required Meijer forecast reports and analysis to manage volume based on sales trends
Provide weekly allocation reports for Kroger and Meijer when needed
Manage communication and relationship with Customer Service Representatives via weekly calls and ad hoc requests (ship-to’s, supply locations, etc.)
Customer Influence
Capitalize on Kroger division selling opportunities
Identify areas of upside for our retail broker and third party DSD provider
In-person selling at some divisions for Kroger
Assist in Headquarter sales calls
Back Office Support
Fill out Contracts, update TPM, and input volume in START tool
Own shipper execution – set up, organize distributions, and manage PO’s
New item set-up and Kroger Private Label CCPM forms
Work on resolving outstanding deductions and credits
Manage POS orders and tracking for third party DSD provider

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 3-5 years of category management and insights, customer selling, or business development experience
Demonstrates a solid understanding of the industry, customers, and products
Capable of evaluating what’s important to the customer and develops solutions that align with annual business objectives
Anticipates business opportunities and challenges
Makes timely and well-informed decisions that advance critical priorities, capitalize on new opportunities, and resolve problems
Works collaboratively and effectively with key stakeholders throughout the organization
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Outstanding organization, communication, presentation, collaboration, relationship building and management skills
Demonstrated strong analytical experience with data query systems (IRI and/or Nielsen, 84:51, Market 6, etc.)
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Work from home.  Requires approx. 10% travel.
