Job Description

Support and development of plant Automation Controls, PLCs, Barcoding, and New Equipment installation projects.  Asists engineering staff and Maintenance staff with projects to improve the efficiency of current/existing equipment.   
Employees may be reassigned to other areas, as applicable, to support business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring Plant Automated Equipment: Robots, PLC’s and process control equipment, is functioning as designed/required.
  • Accountable/Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting/repair of plant automation and controls.
  • Responsible for reviewing/developing Plant Electrical layouts
  • Responsible for Training plant personnel on IT equipment, and automation controls.
  • Accountable/Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting telecommunication equipment; PBX and Phones
  • Accountable/Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting Barcode System and future RFID
  • Accountable for Ensuring Compliance with all QC Requirements (GMP, HAACP) and Providing Leadership to Drive Continuous Improvements in Product Quality. Understands the importance of product safety, legality and quality - Informs the QC Manager of any issues.

  • Responsible for Training plant personnel on IT equipment, and automation controls.
  • Responsible for Developing & Executing IT/Automation projects
  • Responsible for Proposing/Managing/Assisting with Engineering projects
  • Responsible for EHS, MOC, GMP Compliance
  • Responsible for Managing contractors as necessary
  • Responsible for performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Motor Controls/Engineering or equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing environment required
  • Experience with Industrial Automation, PLCs, SAP, preferred
  • Experience with PC and Printer Repairs Preferred
  • Strong technical, problem solving, planning and organization skills.
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on teams.
