Job Description

This is a new position responsible for maintaining customer master data sitting within the corporate supply chain team. The jobholder will work cross-functionally to ensure master data is entered and maintained accurately.  This role requires a high attention to detail with a desire and capability to collaborate across different levels and roles within the organization.  The jobholder will ensure the integrity of the master data and the processes to support the data quality as well as troubleshoot data issues.  Additionally, an ability to develop in depth business knowledge and industry best practices is required for this role.

 
 

Responsibilities Maintain professional, timely and effective communication with all parties
Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer master data requests
Enter and process Customer Master Data changes and creations
Work with cross-functional teams on projects that relate to Customer Master Data
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, customers and processes
Cross-train to support the reporting analyst for vacation coverage
Remain fully flexible to meet business requirements and demands
Improve the quality and accuracy of Customer Master Data by participating in routine audits and data cleansing activities
Support internal customers by performing daily activities
Primary point of contact for the creation and maintenance of Customer Master Data
Work with cross-functional partners to troubleshoot issues related to Customer Master Data, identify root cause and implement resolution
Understand the internal matrix in order to communicate to departments affected by any Customer Master Data changes
Guide business users through procedures and documentation on how to provide pertinent information in order to deliver complete, accurate, and timely Customer Master Data response
Process Customer Master Data change requests and maintain documentation accurately and efficiently
Conduct integrity checks to ensure all Customer Master Data requests contain the appropriate supporting documentation which comply with corporate requirements before they are implemented into the system
Proactively resolve Customer Master Data issues

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.  1-3 years related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Previous experience in a customer focused environment, preferably in a similar role in a B2B or B2C environment.
Basic knowledge of computer applications such as SAP, AS400, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
Strong data entry skills.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Able to form, foster, and maintain strong, positive, business relationships across multiple units and sites. Have the ability to demonstrate confidence and the ability to interact at all levels within the organization.
Able to work independently as well as across functional or matrix team structure.
Beginners to Intermediate analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good grammar, voice and diction.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
An effective team player.
