Job Description

• Responsible for all aspects of demand management; owns the demand plan for a specific business, set of sku’s, or producing locations.
• Owns the demand review as part of the greater IBP process for the identified business

Responsibilities
 Demand Planning
 Develop, aggregate, coordinate, and rationalize the statistical forecast with sales, marketing, and customer forecast   data across the Salt Group.
 Extract, validate, and control system parameters and demand data used for statistical modeling.
 Prepare performance metrics analysis of significant disconnects and implement corrective actions.
 Partner with Supply Chain team, Manufacturing, Logistics and Procurement to effectively align global supply with the  demand plan of record.
 Drive continuous improvement within the Salt Group’s supply chain
Prepare and give detailed data-driven reports to functional partners, focused on identification of changes, risks and opportunities in the demand planning
Extract insights from data and be able to communicate clearly appropriate triggers and actions
Ensure product strategy, contract changes, market dynamics, and product substitutions are accurately reflected in the demand forecast
Analyzing new business opportunities ensuring that required quantities and timelines can be met from a supply/sourcing standpoint
Key leader in the Integrated Business Planning process, developing and distributing monthly reports and analytics to key stakeholders to communicate trending for strategic decision-making
Works cross-functionally with marketing, consumer insights, sales, finance to ensure alignment on consensus forecast as well as month-end post-analysis
Accountable to provide focus and integration of data from Marketing, Sales, Customer Marketing, and Finance, which are used to develop accurate and timely forecasts supporting Operations, Sales and Financial Planning
Ensure consistency of forecast assumptions across the business unit, including base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, planogram changes and seasonal volume
Communicate demand forecast plans and the assumptions behind them through the supply chain
Work closely with the Supply Planning team to identify and resolve changes in the forecast and their impact on the supply chain
Lead in the creation of new product forecasts and their contribution to the product categories
Assemble and communicate Customer level plans with assistance from the account managers

Qualifications
 • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Supply Chain or an equivalent functional area.
• Minimum of 2 years of demand planning preferred,  commensurate supply chain experience will be considered.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines.
• Must possess solid presentation skills and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships, and exercise sound business judgment.
• Knowledge of demand planning process, statistical forecasting, procurement, and planning.
• Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
• Demonstrated experience with SAP-APO a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities as well as attention to detail
• Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
• Ability work in a team environment and collaborate with internal process partners
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
• APICS or other Supply Chain Certification preferred
