Job Description

Design, implement and direct the Bulk Deicing marketing objectives utilizing all available resources to maximize profits, identify new target markets and expand market share in existing markets.

Responsibilities •         Lead business development, expansion planning and strategy development for the Bulk Deicing business.  Develop short-term and long-term plans for Bulk Deicing products, including advertising, promotion and product development.
•         Lead customer and consumer research to gather insights and determine market opportunities.
•         Attain financial, market share and brand awareness targets.
•         Plan, initiate and direct market research to determine trends, industry needs and customer preferences to optimize product and facilities planning to develop targeted markets, to recommend pricing policy and to assist in the development of mid-term and long range business plans.
•         Assist in establishing for each year, specific goals for each product aimed at increasing margins, market share and assist in establishing reasonable sales objectives.
•         Establish lead tracking practices and procedures.
 
•         Direct the consumer interface: advertising, promotion, websites, publications, licensing, sales materials, and consumer affairs.
•         Maintain external business relationships for product development and licensing.
•         Ensure appropriate ROI for advertising and promotions.
•         Lead and manage research groups to validate consumer needs related to advertising, products, and pricing.
•         Ensure appropriate use of trademarks and registrations.
•         Manage the BDI advertising and promotions budget.
•         Recommend marketing mix, including advertising, promotional campaigns and trade shows.  Oversee company participation at trade shows and other marketing and sales events.
•         Develop and implement marketing strategy and plans that support the revenue and profit objectives of the business.
•         Develop and implement research and analysis methodology to (a) identify new markets/future markets and product opportunities and (b) develop and introduce new business building solutions for customers based on market analysis and research.
•         Monitor competitive product offerings and innovations to ensure Morton Salt’s portfolio retains a competitive advantage.
•         Review competitive products and communications to best position Morton Salt products in the marketplace.
•         Guide and direct BDI P&L Team
•         Develop and execute Sustainability Plan
•         OU America’s Communities representative responsible for regularly sharing information with the G-CS Community head regarding NA marketing activities.
•         Lead performance management, personnel development and succession planning for direct and indirect reports.

Qualifications Strong understanding of SAP.

Bachelor’s Degree Required in Marketing
Master’s Degree Preferred
15+ years of experience in Sales & Marketing
