Job Description

This job is located within the Operations at Morton Bahamas Limited with responsibility for Maintenance, Installation, and Development of economical industrial processes to make premium quality Solar Salt.  Incumbent is responsible to Coordinate and Direct the assigned Plant Single\Three Phase electrical function, design, installation, construction, and production and overall analysis of plant electrical projects.
  1. Responsible for Electrical Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
  2. Performs electrical reviews of assigned maintenance for the facility, its power generating plants, Production, Loading, and other facilities; current and alternative sources. Assess Management of Change process as required by Morton Salt K + S’ EHS and sustainability Standards.
  3. Schedules and coordinates work performed by Company Electricians, and outside contractors hired for capital and expenses projects as assigned.  Participates in and provides resources for identifying and resolving operational reliability issues.  Assist with preparation and submission of electrical expense and capital projects.
  4. Completes activities involving design, installation, construction and overall analysis of projects. Ensure that feasibility Studies for assigned projects include investigation data, cost estimation and time requirements, reporting on alternatives and recommendations on course of action.  Projects will often be complex nature and size.
  5. Assist with vendor and contractor coordination on electrical equipment and services, makes technical recommendations involving purchases of major equipment.
  6. Guide teams assigned to electrical tasks and planning.  Identify and implement solutions for obstacles which may prevent targeted production output; including but not limited to, Heavy Equipment repairs  and  Other duties as assigned.
Personnel responsibilities include; directing, leading, scheduling, training, auditing, and time management within assignments.  Responsible for developing subordinates to enhance their electrical phase studies, Canadian Red Seal Programs, and personal development goals.Competencies:
