Job Description

As the Sales Analyst for the Food Service Team for Morton Salt you would be responsible for he following:

  • Analyzing Premier Customer data, (i.e. US Foods CookBook Platform), to optimize sales efforts and better identify potential product gaps and line extensions
  •  Compile and analyze data over time to forecast sales trends
  • Review sales data to determine trends and profitability
  • Evaluates third-party data to determine best practices for company success
  • Presents actionable information and insights to team members and management
  • Proactively provides daily sales and budget tracking
  •     Provides business analysis and content, transforms data information into insights, (such as NPD Crest, Menu Mintel, Technomics, Datassentials, Firefly etc.), and help identify new sales opportunities
  • Works with internal cross-functional teams such as Brand Marketing, Pricing, R&D, Culinary, Supply Chain and Finance to optimize opportunities, profitability and long-term, sustainable sales
  • Provides back office support, (TPM, C4C, Technical documents, Distributor Portals, and Chain Portals)

Job Requirements

Our company values and recognizes the diversity of the workforce, and is looking for talented individuals with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, desired but not required
  • Previous experience as a Sales Analyst, Sales Support, Customer Service or all-around, (Sales Generalist)
  • The ability to analyze consumer data to optimize sales efforts
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to work well with Morton cross-functional teams, Foodservice Customers, and Morton Senior Management
  • Strong organization and detail-orientation
  • Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
  • The ability to stay organized under stressful situations
  • Ability to work under time constraints, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines as set by the National Sales Manager
  • Knowledge of trends and regulations in their specific industry
  • Strong proficiency n Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
