Job Description

Lead the overall operations of Windsor Salt’s  Lindbergh, AB facility including all aspects of production, maintenance, shipping and receiving for evap operations. Manages all operational activities, from packaging of raw product to the shipment of finished goods to final customers in a safe and efficient manner. Produce optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Responsibilities Plans, develops and implements site policies and goals including safety, budget, volume, quality, reliability and succession planning.
Accountable for all production operations in compliance with company quality and environmental standards, and all other duties that impact product safety, legality and quality systems including Company EHS Rules.
Seek and develop long-term strategies to optimize and sustain manufacturing process which would include, but not limited to, the ongoing operation of reliable supply of raw materials, maintenance that effectively supports all departments, safe procedures and operating behaviors for manufacturing actives and optimization of reliability initiatives throughout the facility.
Analyzes plant and department budgets and allocates operating and capital expense budgets.
Accountable for improving plant productivity through engineering changes, resource allocation and performance management. Insures changes required for efficient manufacturing of salt products are implemented in both a timely and effective manner.
Accountable for site culture and employee engagement efforts in both salaried and bargaining unit workforce, including labor relations, training and development, performance management, and succession planning.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred); other related technical degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience, including a minimum of five (5) years Production/Technical/ Maintenance management experience. 
Minimum five (5) years of management experience is preferred.

Works in a general office and manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
