Job Description

As the Inside Sale Representative on the Sales Team team at Morton Salt , this role is responsible to:

  • Execute the business plan for assigned accounts, driving initiatives that result in sales and margin volume.
  • Source new sales opportunities within territory through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Support prospecting efforts within territory as directed by manager.
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline.
  • Close sales and achieve established sales quotas.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
  • Maintain internal data on customers through timely call-notes submission and related customer data tracking.
  • Support special projects or account maintenance as directed by manager.
  • Interface with Brand Manager, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales Planning, Production and other functions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Previous inside sales experience preferred with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing large numbers of calls daily
  • Good prospecting/cold calls skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong selling skills and relationship building skills
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve
  • Strong Customer-orientation and a bias for action
  • Experience working with SAP or similar CRM
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite of products
  • Travel 5%
