Job Description

As a shift Journeyman Electrician you would be responsible for:

install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics and blueprints.

Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breakers, etc.

Diagnose and resolve problems related to manufacturing equipment, including electrical circuits, robotics, testing equipment etc.

Receive and complete work orders unrelated to electrical work.

Maintain accurate records on material and labour used.

Maintain inventory of own tools and those supplied by the company

Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds and equipment following established inspections procedures.

Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment

Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.

Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.

Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, NFPA 70E, etc.

Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.

Journeyman Electrician We are currently looking for a Journeyman Electrician for our 12 hour night shift.  In this position, the incumbent would be part of a four person team, charged with directly supporting our night shift production unit.  The shift is from 6 pm to 6 am, and works 3 days one week, and 4 days the next, resulting in having a long weekend every other week.  The incumbent will be expected to maintain, repair and install electrical systems, services, and manufacturing equipment.  Safety is our first priority, and we would expect that the incumbent be of similar mind set regarding Safety.
