Job Description

This position will perform classroom and laboratory instructional duties in the industrial maintenance program. This position must be able to work a flexible schedule as dictated by the training scheduling needs of the program and the field implementation of the program.

  • Manage the Skills Training facility with safety as the first priority.
Instruction including hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may                include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.

  • Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for courses taught.
  • Ensure that courses are taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
  • Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
  • Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
  • Supervision of employees attending the courses.
-           Evaluating and documenting the development of the participants, including grading achievements and or progress.

-           Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or a related industrial discipline (preferred) or the equivilent with five (5) years direct experience in the industrial maintenance field.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with a diversity of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical/electronic, and PLC equipment in a manufacturing setting preferred. Some level of teaching or training experience is preferred. The applicant must be able to work in a team environment utilizing effective communication skills. The applicant must also be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and be able to develop programs and curricula to industry needs.
Industrial Teaching Certification is a plus

  • Knowledge and ability (any or all) as a millwright, maintenance mechanic, electronic technician (industrial), plant engineer, maintenance foreman, industrial engineer, maintenance machinist, machine repairer, machine rebuilder, engineering lead worker or mechanical instructor required.
Maintenance Operations leaders, hourly employees, apprentices, vendors, HR professionals and outside contractors.
Must be able to work in an industrial setting including underground mines. Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. Ability to lift and handle training equipment (usually no more than 50 lbs).
