Job Description

The Operations Production Analyst at Morton Salt is an important role located in the North American Headquarters of Morton Salt/Windsor Salt where you will have the opportunity to work with high-level stakeholders while interacting with and influencing production efficiency improvements at our 20+ manufacturing facilities across North America.
This is an exciting opportunity in which you will be a key player in the deployment, assist in next phases of development and analyze data from Morton Salt’s proprietary software that tracks live production activity from all our major assets across our manufacturing facilities. You will work to design an array of new dashboards, metrics and reports by utilizing Business Intelligence technologies to meet and exceed production efficiency objectives. In this position you will be applying your skills in Tableau, Alteryx and MS Office to conduct exploratory analytics while also delivering efficient and scalable Business Intelligence solutions to improve production efficiency and identify continuous improvement opportunities. You will also be responsible for reviewing the quality of the data input into the production tracking software while acting as a super-user to improve master data. 
Partner with stakeholders to develop meaningful business intelligence solutions that motivate and drive actions
Develop scalable Business Intelligence solutions to identify continuous improvement opportunities that will improve production efficiency
Identify opportunities to improve production tracking tool while working directly with developers to bring modifications to life
Develop metrics for plant and home office leadership in a meaningful way to drive operational efficiency improvements
Act as a super-user to improve master data
Participate and train users in deployments
Provide periodic training sessions to new employees
Facilitate growth and adoption of tool to include additional production equipment
Monitor the input data to identify training opportunities that will improve data quality
Evaluate plants and equipment tracking adoption opportunities
Train and improve user execution and usage of software
Opportunity to travel to sites in US, Canada, and Bahamas for in-person training and work
Ability to be involved in additional operations analytics projects
BA/BS degree in Business, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or any related fields (i.e. Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, etc.)
Experience with Tableau, Excel Power Query or Alteryx
Experience with reporting and dashboards or similar large scale tracking system is a plus
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, PMP/PMBoK methodologies is a plus
Experience with business problem definition, hypothesis, facilitation, problem solving and project management
Experience presenting complex data in a way that is easy for your audience to understand and compel them to take action
Experience in manufacturing a plus
Ability to utilize data to generate insights that help drive strategy and positive outcomes for the company
Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
Excellent Microsoft office skills, especially Excel and Access
Basic understanding of databases is a plus
VBA or other programming experience a plus
Experience with SAP a plus
Foreign language knowledge a plus (French, Spanish or German)
Ability to travel to US, Canada, and Bahamas
Ability to work safely in manufacturing environment
Ability to act professionally in an array of different environments and audiences
