Job Description

Responsible for high-level Quality inspection, testing, support and supervision for all Pharmaceutical, Food, Agricultural, and Chemical Grade sodium chloride product and material operations

MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accountabilities •Accountable and responsible for NaCl production packaging material and labeling control and reconciliation •Accountable and responsible for the reconciliation of NaCl product shipments •Accountable and responsible for the labeling and control of NaCl products that are quarantined, on hold, or released. •Accountable and responsible for the generation, organization, and filing of NaCl product production documentation •Accountable and responsible for monitoring and inspecting the manufacturing process for NaCl products •Accountable and responsible for in-process material sampling, inspection, and testing of NaCl products •Accountable and responsible for finished product quality sampling, inspection, testing and control of NaCl products •Accountable and responsible for the generation and distribution of NaCl product COAs •Accountable and responsible for setting up NaCl product orders •Accountable and responsible for completing NaCl product shipping reconciliations •Accountable and responsible for FCC monograph testing (yearly validation) Responsibilities •Responsible for supervision, in the absence of normal QC Supervision, of salary and bargaining unit employees in matters related to quality •Responsible for the entry, filing, and organization of analytical test data •Responsible for completing analytical test method validation studies •Responsible for assisting with internal audits of the facility •Responsible for providing back-up support for other Q.C. positions •Responsible for incoming raw, chemical, and packaging material testing, inspection, and control •Responsible for generating documentation and assigning batch numbers to premix/mother and final batch mixing materials •Responsible for the quality inspection, testing, and approval of maintenance and repair work •Responsible for completing the weekly FCC monograph analysis of food grade products •Responsible for routine magnet and scalping screen HACCP inspections •Responsible for the generation, review, and revision of SOPs, WIs, and forms •Responsible for magnet inspection documentation distribution, collection, and review •Responsible for the analysis of spices, soda ash, and Nature’s Seasons Salt •Responsible for the routine measurement of HACCP program magnet strength •Responsible for preparing and routing ingredient usage sheets •Responsible for generating documentation and assigning batch numbers to premix/mother and final batch mixing materials •Responsible for providing testing assistance for troubleshooting salt issues •Responsible for preparing test chemical solutions •Responsible for maintaining laboratory cleanliness and housekeeping •Responsible for completing yearly bin and scalping screen inspections •Responsible for the daily organization and review of documentation associated with incoming materials – hold/release disposition •Responsible for performing other duties as required

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field •Minimum three (3) years of experience operating in a testing environment. •Computer proficient
