Job Description

At Lindbergh, the QAE Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Plant Quality and Environmental Programs.    Interface regularly with Corporate Quality and Environmental personnel as well as Local, Provincial, and Federal Regulators. Promote a high standard to ensure high-quality products and demonstrate a strong desire to ensure environmental compliance. Specifically, you will be asked;

Manage all aspects of the Lindbergh Quality Program by:

  • Responsible for consumer/customer complaint investigations, root cause analysis, corrective/preventative action follow-up, and reporting.
  • Responsible for product/process deviation, returned product, scrap, nonconforming material investigations, and reporting.
  • Responsible for the coordination of and response to the customer, corporate, regulatory, environmental, supplier, and internal quality audits
  • Develops strong relationships with production personnel to drive quality control improvements to ensure customer expectations are meet or exceeded. 
  • Perform all required testing of plant products and trend data. Report significant trends and issues to Management in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain all required Quality standards and programs.

Coordinate the Plant Environmental Program by:

  • Developing and conducting all required plant environmental training sessions and demonstrating employee retention of the material. Communicate the need for re-training due to a lack of retention to employee supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that the plant responds quickly to all Environmental deficiencies and is in compliance with all relevant permits, procedures, and regulations.
  • Reporting and posting all relevant Environmental metrics and reports.
  • Reviewing and maintaining all Environmental programs.
  • Tracking Environmental action items and corrective actions to completion.
  • Performing safety, quality, and environmental inspections.
  • Interfacing regularly with Corporate Environmental personnel as well as Provincial and Federal Regulators.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of all site Environmental permits; modify those permits through approved channels as required.
  • Support the Corporate initiative to minimize environmental reportable spills, permit excursions, and Notices of Violation.  Notify Corporate Environmental affairs of all environmental reportable incidents.  Initiate and manage corrective action plans to respond to incidents or non-compliance. Perform verifications to ensure the effectiveness of corrective actions.
