Job Description

As a Sr. Customer Supply Chain Associate for the Customer Service team at Morton Salt in Chicago, this role will be responsible for:
•     Serves as the representative between Morton Salt Supply Chain and external customers. Responsible for all aspects of the relationship including direct receipt of orders, ensuring prompt resolution of issues from the time of order through the final payment. Also responsible for on-going maintenance and relationship building with customers.
•     Establishes and maintains positive and effective relationships with key internal cross functional contacts. 
•   Utilizes SAP order management system to process customer orders, complete order changes, and monitor compliance of assigned accounts.  
•   Works on Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) accounts—manages the supply chain for VMI customers, monitor customer inventory positions, generates and manages order writing, reconciles exception orders and analyzes data to review customer promotions and trends.

Job Requirements

Our company values and recognizes the diversity of the workforce and encourages individuals with the equivalent combination of education and work experience. The ideal candidate will have:
•  A  Bachelor’s degree (preferred). Will also consider 6-10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
•    Previous experience in a customer focused environment, preferably in a Supply Chain, or a Logistics role in a B2B or B2C environment.
•    Advanced knowledge of computer applications such as SAP, AS400, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
•    The ability to be seen as a go-to person with leadership qualities.
•    Ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external customers.
•     Form, foster and maintain strong, positive business relationships across multiple units and sites.  Able to demonstrate confidence and the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
