Job Description

As the Senior Financial Analyst, Cost at Morton Salt in Chicago you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate information in the system reporting, including master data maintenance and compliance.

  • Preparing all monthly & YTD reports used by the locations and Operations/Supply Chain management to analyze their performance.

  • Participating in the development of annual manufacturing budget and monthly variances. Proposes improvement in processes and areas of savings.

  • Inventory re-evaluation. Will understand the impacts of cost drivers on the overall financial equation. Understands intercompany transactions and related Foreign exchange considerations.

  • Prepare ad hoc Cost analysis and improve the quality on Financial information.

  • Be proactively involved with the simplifying, streamlining, and standardizing the current processes of the department.

Job Requirements

Our company vales and recognizes the diversity of the workforce and is looking for a future team member with at least 5 years of Finance experience and a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. In addition, this individual will have:

  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel
  • Experience in SAP based accounting/manufacturing/product costing environment
  • Experience and proficiency with managing and downloading large data sets (Queries, Data warehouse, etc.)
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, maintain a strong attention to detail, and work independently
  • Should be able to work comfortably with short lead times
