Job Description

Primary job responsibilities include IT infrastructure support, resolving tickets in a queue, in conjunction with a global, international  team and IT service provider. Position is responsible for Data Center Management, Servers, Storages, Backups, Cloud Services, Databases, File Services, Active Directory, Citrix, Print Services, Patch Management and other server and backend services for all sites in Operating Unit Americas.
The jobholder works in a team with members in North and South America as well as in a global expert team aligning on global architecture, design, processes (including ITIL), standards, provider and support concepts.
The major activity is engaging and managing provider for services repairs & MACD and verify related invoices. Configuration & administration of some IT services that are not managed by service provider is also required.
Supporting IT services for locations outside Americas may also be required depending on the global aligned support concept.
The jobholder will also work on local, regional and international projects.  Therefore, the business needs and environment of our Americas organization must be understood and represented in the projects.
Secondary job responsibilities include helping and supporting other team members who are specialized in IT network infrastructure (including WAN/LAN/WLAN, communication technology including VoIP and telepresence systems, VPN and their security (including firewalls).
Resolve service tickets for issues with the above mentioned IT services.
Provider management for the outsourced IT services (Includes troubleshooting, architecture, design, and project implementation).
Administration and configuration in case of non-provider covered services.
Engage carriers/provider for service repairs
Ensure that systems and IT services are monitored and provide the needed performance
Provide documentation (including knowledge, user and architecture related documentation)
Provider Bill audit and service review as well as resolution to billing discrepancies with provider.
Provider MACD (new service, change of service, service moves) placement and coordination.
Project management and project engineering.
Customer interaction for incident resolution.
Participation and contributing in frequent provider, project and team meetings.
Help to design and work with support and services processes (like ITIL).
Keep current knowledge of changing technology for above mentioned IT services.
On-call support for priority incident resolution
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related IT field, and/or 5 years of experience working within a diverse IT infrastructure environment.
5+ years working in a mid-size IT infrastructure environment .
5+ years’ experience in majority of the above mentioned IT services.
2+ years working in a consulting capacity with non-project specific deliverables.
Knowledge and experience in data center infrastructure design and operations.
Experience supporting multiple sites is a must.
Experience with Cloud Services (e.g. AWS, Azure)
Experience with File Services
Knowledge about Backend-Services such as AD-Services, Citrix, Print Services, Patch Management, Anti-Virus.
Experience in IT Service Management (ITIL)
Desire to continuously learn and engage with new systems and services as well as be flexible to change, addition and transition of duties.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Office 365 experience (including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Experience with databases (preferred MS SQL )
Basic understanding of IT Network architecture, VoIP and Firewall
Microsoft certifications preferred (e.g. Server, SCCM, SQL, Active Directory, Exchange, etc.).
College Degree in computer science preferred.
Linux/Unix experience a plus.

Has the initiative to identify and recommend IT process improvements.
Communicates well verbally and in writing with employees, peers and user community with the ability to educate and inform others.

German and/or Spanish Language Skills a plus.
Some travel may be required.
