Job Description

As the Senior Sales Planning Analyst, for the Consumer and Industrial Team at Morton Salt in Chicago, you will be responsible to support U.S. sales and broker execution to achieve plan targets and objectives.  In this role the Sr Analyst works closely with Marketing to understand annual objectives, and partner with Sales to activate strategies at the customer level. The Sr Sales Planning analyst works to transform information into insights and inform key stakeholders throughout the business planning process.  From strategy to execution, this positions helps drive fact-based decision-making throughout the organization. This role supports product introductions through management of New Item Selling story You will also perform the following:
•   Strategic Sales Planning
•   Business Analysis  
•   Customer influence and Relationship Building

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of business intelligence, category insights, or business development experience

  •  Anticipates business opportunities and challenges; drives long-term strategy while maintaining a focus on short-term objectives
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional key stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Demonstrated strong analytical experience - Expert in MS Excel, Powerpoint and Tableau 
  • Strong SAP BI/BW skills and experience with other data query systems/ IRI or Nielsen
  • Ability to travel (limitedly- about 5%)
