Job Description

As the Sr Warehouse Distribution Analyst reporting to the Director, External Inventory Control & Distribution of Supply Chain you will be responsible to:

  • Develop, manage and report on intra-company material transfers to drive optimum inventory levels versus forecast and safety stock targets. 
  • Proactively reduce costs and improve service / inventory turns.
  • Partner with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Material Planning, Manufacturing, Transportation and Procurement to effectively align distribution plan with production, consensus forecast and logistics budget. 
  •  Partner daily with Customer Supply Chain to inform them on material availability at SKU/location level or process customer return
  •  Ensure compliance of all 3PL vendors to inventory control policies. Review policy annually and make improvements as needed.
  •  Work with 3rd party vendors and Finance to coordinate and manage schedules for cycle counts, reconciliations and physical inventories. Investigate and research inventory variances to reconcile..
  • Own the execution of all daily inventory control activities at assigned 3rd party warehouses.
  • Responsible for slow-moving, expired, and blocked materials at assigned locations. Assist with sell out and disposition. 
  • Oversee quality issues as they pertain to inventory management.  Point of contact for coordination with internal functions and assigned 3rd party warehouses.
  •  Maintain and report on warehouse distribution KPIs. Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  •  Partner with Finance, Plants, IT, 3PLs and other key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement processes for inventory management and related areas.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A   Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Inventory Management, Business or an equivalent functional area.
  •  Minimum of 5 years of distribution/warehouse operations, product distribution experience, supply chain or inventory control/management in a service-driven organization.
  • Experience with SAP/ERP. Knowledge of WMS preferred. 
  • Knowledge of key inventory and supply chain performance metrics. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, mainly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data mining) 
  • Strong analytical skills and desire to work with data. Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information.
  • Collaboration skills. Able to maintain strong positive business relationships across multiple units and sites. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as cross functionally or as part of a matrix teams. 
  • Ability to develop knowledge of the business while serving as the primary point of contact for the assigned lanes, shipping facilities and 3rd party warehouses.
  • Ability to construct well-written documents that translate data into insights and provide the appropriate level of detail .
  • Ability to work well with shifting priorities.
  • APICS or other Supply Chain / Logistics Certification preferred, not necessary.
