Job Description

The Strategic Projects Manager is responsible for providing hands-on project management, strategic and financial support for global salt projects including acquisitions, JVs, partnerships & greenfields across the K+S Group.  The jobholder will execute a range of strategic and financial analyses to progress the growth project pipeline, ensure alignment of projects with K+S and Global Customer segment strategies and support decision-making and execution.  The jobholder will work closely with K+S and external counterparts globally including Americas, Europe and Asia.  

Responsibilities Project Management & Execution
•         Provide comprehensive project management support for global growth projects including salt consolidation, K+S Salt Australia (Ashburton), Morton-Shanghai JV and new external growth opportunities including acquisitions, JVs, partnership and greenfields.
•         Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to advance projects, ensure optimal decision-making and project execution
•         Advances & substantiate M&A projects through target contact management including the coordination of external advisors, K+S Strategy and M&A teams
Strategic, Financial & M&A Analyses
•         Supports business leaders in the identification of acquisition targets through the analysis of customers, products, markets, geographies and competitors
•         Conducts analysis of key economic indicators, market trends, competitive environment, supply-demand balance, logistics and other factors impacting new markets
•         Conducts comprehensive financial analyses (NPV/IRR, Cost, breakeven) to support decision-making of current and future growth projects 
•         Prepares presentations to senior level audiences to support advancement of projects

Qualifications •         Knowledge of theories and practices within strategy, finance and corporate development; consulting, project management and/or M&A experience preferred
•         Strong analytical mindset with practical knowledge/experience in Finance and Accounting
•         Ability to manage diverse issues across many cultures in a global, matrixed environment
•         Entrepreneurial, hands-on mentality and a creative mindset
•         Outstanding university background with advanced degree (MSc/MBA) preferred
Work experience of min.7 years; international experience preferred
