Job Description

As the Retail Account Analyst for the Strategic Retail Team for Morton Salt you are responsible for supporting the Kroger/Meijer National Account Manager to achieve annual plan targets and objectives. In this role the Analyst will:

  • Provide Business Analysis of sales data. The position utilizes resources such as IRI, Nielsen, Market 6, 84.51, Meijer VendorNet. Will assemble post event analytics to evaluate account specific trade and digital promotions and will mine data for trends to uncover opportunities
  • Monitor Customer Replenishment. The position will manage communication and relationships buyers. Will handle PO issues and ship-to allocation break downs. Complete required Meijer forecast reports and analysis to manage volume based on sales trends. Provide allocation reports for Kroger and Meijer when needed. And manage communication with internal Customer Service Representatives.
  • Develop Customer Influence. This position will capitalize on Kroger division selling opportunities. Will do in-person selling at some divisions for Kroger and Identify areas of upside for our retail broker and third party DSD providers
  • Provide Support to National Account Manager by assisting with contracts, update TPM, and input volume into START tool. This role owns shipper execution – set up, organize distributions, and management of PO’s, neww item set-up and Kroger Private Label forms. Will handle outstanding deductions and credits.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of category management and insights, customer selling, or business development experience
  • Demonstrated strong analytical experience with data query systems (IRI and/or Nielsen, 84:51, Market 6, etc.)
  • A solid understanding of the industry, customers, and products
  • The ability to evaluate what’s important to the customer and develops solutions that align with business objectives
  • Outstanding organization, communication, presentation, relationship building and management skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
