Job Description

This position is earmarked as a technical interface with key customers, both internal and external, providing expertise to enhance the customers experience with our product portfolio. Typical responsibilities include developing standard technical documents in response to frequent customer inquiries, developing product data sheets, harmonize product specifications between facilities and supports developing new product specifications, and review, negotiate and sign customer specifications, providing exceptions as appropriate. The jobholder also serves customers with in-depth knowledge about the company and products to respond to customer technical inquiries, including ingredient surveys, nutrition information, customer databases, and food grade regulatory matters. Develops technical portion of product data sheets new and existing salt products.
 

Responsibilities Actively collaborate with numerous internal functions within the company, interpreting customer technical requests and proactively determining needed documentation.
Author standard documents in response to frequent customer inquiries, develop product data sheets, harmonize product specifications between facilities, supports developing new product specifications and review, negotiate and sign customer specifications, providing exceptions as appropriate
Use in-depth knowledge about the company and products to respond to customer technical inquiries, including ingredient surveys, nutrition information, customer databases, and food grade regulatory matters.
Serve as an intermediary between customers/consumers, and interact closely with other cross functional groups such as quality, marketing, sales, R&D, consumer service, regulatory, customer service, supply chain, IT and legal.
Write or edit customer-facing documentation, including technical statements, Safety Data Sheets, and Product Data Sheets.
Work in SAP to obtain necessary information to make revised Product Data Sheets. 
Work closely with quality and supply chain groups to add/revise specifications and the inspection setup for products and ingredients in SAP. 
Investigate the competitive landscape and current knowledge base through review of external literature, data sources, trade publications and intellectual property as needed.
Other quality-related functions may be added as required above the Technical Services duties.
Develops technical portion of product data sheets new and existing salt products.  

Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Food Technology or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum of 5 years laboratory/industrial experience is preferred.
Proficiency in problem solving ability, computer and written skills are required
Experience in Microsoft Office and ability to learn/work in SAP. 
Must interact well with both internal and external customers and consumers.

This role requires extensive problem solving abilities, and an ability to correspond well with customers/consumers.
Knowledge of industrial processes, materials handling, food and applications is a plus.
