Job Description

The jobholder is responsible for planning, management and execution of all Sales Activities for ingredients sales to assigned food manufacturing  accounts.  The jobholder is responsible for driving profitability of the assigned accounts through pursuit of new accounts/distributors, executing pricing strategy and new product introductions, and ensuring the customer focus strategy is implemented through utilization of the available resources as appropriate. 
The jobholder is also responsible for executing special assignments across the broader Food B2B channel including but not limited to select strategic account site visits and quality complaint execution, trade show participation, and representing the Food B2B channel on projects as requested.

Responsibilities Execute the business plan for assigned accounts in B2B channel, driving initiatives that result in achieving annual revenue, margin, market share and volume plans.
Assist with the development of the long and short-term strategic Sales plans for accounts within assigned area.
Assist with development of key distributors: plan, execution, and support
Conduct sales calls for assigned accounts within territory.
Negotiate customer agreements and contracts.
Support prospecting efforts within territory as directed by manager and in alignment with Sales and Marketing goals.
Qualify and develop potential customer leads as received from various sources (trade shows, email, and Morton web inquiries).
Maintain internal data on customers through timely call-notes submission and related customer data tracking.
Identify, analyze and effectively communicate market/competitive intelligence, account findings and market voids or untapped potential.
Interface with Marketing (Pricing and Brand), Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production and other functions as needed to ensure customer commitments are met.
Support broader Food B2B channel interests through site visits (quality and technical support), trade show participation, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of Food B2B sales experience.
 History of high performance ratings in current and recent positions.
 Outstanding organization, communication, presentation, and management skills.
 Proven leadership in sales management role.
 Critical thinking skills and a “bias for action.”
 Prior food processing experience required.
 Sales experience.
