Job Description

Overview

K+S Windsor Salt Ltd. Is involved in the mining, refining, and distribution of salt products and is currently seeking applicants for an Industrial Repairperson at the Windsor Evaporation Facility in Windsor, Ontario.
 

Responsibilities

In the performance of your duties, you must be able to;
 
- Adhere to Health and Safety legislation as well as Company safety policies
- Perform weld preparation by grinding/cutting
- Prepare/fit/weld pipe
- Perform a wide range of stainless steel fabrication work
- Maintain stationary and mechanical equipment
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required to overhaul, maintain or setup machinery
- Ensure all safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
- Participate in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation utilizing tools and systems provided by the Company
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work
- Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area
- Read and work off of blueprints
- Comply with SOPs and GMPs at all times
- Work extended hours (overtime), shift work and weekends especially when problems occur, or when deadlines must be met. This includes call-ins as well
- Exhibit a strong sense of ownership to the plant’s overall success

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Be certified through the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB)
- Able to perform functions of all the following trades:
- Millwright
- Machinist
- Machine Repair
- Welder
 
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
