Job Description


Plans and coordinates labor, parts/material, and equipment access. This position provides comprehensive review of work-order and work-package backlogs including material requisitions. Produces weekly and daily schedules in compliance with unit priorities and governing plant guidelines.


  • Manage the preventive maintenance duties with Safety as a value.
  • Comply with all government and company policies, rules and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Schedule, track and coordinate equipment maintenance activities to ensure optimum availability.
  • Manage the preventive maintenance program ensuring PMs are completed and logged on schedule.
  • Increase scheduled maintenance and reduce breakdown repair.
  • Issue work orders for repairs in a timely manner. Ensuring critical jobs are high on the schedule.
  • Reviews ready-to-schedule backlog and is accountable for maintaining a clean backlog and work processes to keep it current.
  • Responds to schedule-break demands according to policies and rules set by MEWP.
  • Maintains craft-availability status.
  • Leads daily, weekly, and monthly schedule and performance meetings.
  • Uses scheduling tool to create written daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance schedules and adjusts as needed.
  • Prepare work packages for every planned maintenance activities inclusive of repetitive maintenance.
  • Order, receive and supervise required material to assist maintenance activities.
  • Plan and arrange activities related with equipment maintenance to enhance equipment and plant accessibility and competence supporting site production supplies.
  • Coordinate daily as well as weekly planning meetings related with maintenance.
  • Ensure to execute MPI techniques to improve overall efficiency.
  • Coordinate to rebuild spare equipment through external suppliers.
  • Collect drawings, manuals and other documents to assist contractor and maintenance repairs or modifications.
  • Provide assistance to engineering for spare parts preparation and PM Lists for new equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance for supporting entire on-site maintenance activities.


  • Must have knowledge of industrial maintenance practices.
  • Good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and to work well with others.
  • Must possess good skills with computers and computer software
  • CMMS
  • SAP desired

Education and/or Training:

  • High School and minimum five (5) years of experience operating in progressive industrial maintenance
  • Management (and/or) Supervisory experience preferred
