Job Description

Leads a team of Materials Planners and improves the coordination of materials procurement across the network to maximize customer service levels and minimize inventory levels/waste
Responsible for developing the Materials Planning function for packaging and materials by creating integrated processes with Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, and outside suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process
Oversees the supply chain from purchase order to delivery, including order fulfillment,shipping, receiving and inventory management for all packaging and materials
Leads the development and implementation of an inventory reduction program, limiting exposure to excess inventory cost and waste while balancing service
 

Responsibilities Responsible for determining and implementing production plans and sourcing across the North American manufacturing network for the Consumer and Industrial businesses.
Aligns plant operational capacities with planning systems, and serves as the conduit back to the business on available capacities and constraints.
Accountable for day-to-day management and oversight of co-packers
Directly manages five Supply Planners
Owns the determination of all SKU-level manufacturing points for the Consumer and Industrial businesses
Owns the supply portion of the IBP process
Accountable for the supply plan for 20+ manufacturing locations and a network of co-packers
Is the key conduit for determining available production line capacity and constraint information between operations and sales/marketing
Develop and implement sourcing strategies, policies and practices throughout the company that ensure the correct balance of quality, service level, and lowest total cost
Review Performance to Plan results and work with Operational Technical Services to drive best in class results
Owner of the supply review and prep meetings of the IBP process
Critical contributor and team member across the P+L teams
Accountable for maintaining accurate data within the supply planning systems (SNP)
Acts on behalf of the Sr. Director, Supply Chain Planning in her absence.
Implement actionable savings opportunities to minimize product costs and maximize manufacturing income and direct operating income.

 

 

Qualifications Bachelor degree required, preferably in engineering, statistics, economics, operations, business, or marketing
MBA preferred, but not required
Minimum 5 years of supply planning, sales forecasting, or business management
CPG experience preferred
Experience with SAP/APO or other supply planning software packages
Experience leading continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities as well as attention to detail
Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts
Ability to work in a team environment between the functions of Operations, Customer Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, and interact regularly with senior management regarding goals and accomplishments
A demonstrated ability to act as a strategic thinker
