Job Description

Fabricate/Troubleshoot/Repair/Maintain all related electrical equipment in a timely and cost conscious manner.

Responsibilities
    • Work in a safe manner following standards set by Company Policy and applicable regulatory agency(s).
    • Maintain all plant electrical equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components and equipment control systems at the plant.
    • Modify, design and fabricate electrical systems for the plant as needed.
    • Program PLCs (typically Allen Bradley) and maintain documentation.
    • Maintain work area clear of hazards and in compliance with housekeeping, safety and environmental standards as required for food safety hygiene and equipment cleanliness.
    • Plan electrical work; including specifying items to be ordered, estimating time and support equipment needs to complete jobs.
    • Be available for call-in due to breakdown emergency repairs during plant operations.
    • Assist with non-electrical plant related maintenance/repair as required
    • Participate in Reliability improvements at facility. Identify potential problems and suggest corrections.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must have plant equipment repair/maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with OSHA codes.
  • Familiarity with State and Federal Electrical Codes.
  • Ability to read electrical prints.
  • Knowledge in electrical principles.
  • Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Experience in VFD control setting and troubleshooting
  • Experience in 480 V 3-phase MCC maintenance
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • Ability to work in ethical manner.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn basic SAP transactions such as printing a Work Order.
Education and/or Training

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade School or other electrical training.
  • SAP Work Order System Usage a plus.
Materials and Equipment Used

  • Various hand tools.
  • Electrical testing equipment.
  • PLC Interface/Programming Equipment.
  • High Lifts (scissor type or cherry picker)
