Project Engineer - Environmental Position

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer/Environmental to support the facility by managing compliance activities and projects associated with environmental, quality, production efficiency and continuous improvement, and sustainability.

  • Oversee projects from inception to completion with safety and efficiency the primary goal.
  • Investigate and recommend modifications to present operations when more flexible and feasible engineering alternatives could improve productivity or quality.
  • Maintain all environmental permits, audits and reporting for the site.
  • Monitor and analyze environmental data for compliance as well as risk analysis.      
  • Prepare and/or schedule associated work to maintain the site in compliance with all company and government regulations.
  • Act as an engineering consultant for day-to-day problems to provide engineering advice to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Select and monitor contractors to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in and support the Maintenance Excellence Work Process and the Safety Journey Process.
  • Assist quality as required; may require some off shift work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental or Chemical preferred.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations (State and Federal).
  • Strong project management skills; detail-oriented and good planning and organizational skills.
  • Able to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Strong learning agility to quickly learn the business and operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to interact with all levels.
