Job Description

Responsible for assuring the reliability and uptime of all critical utility and mechanical systems. This is accomplished by auditing and optimizing our PMs on all critical pieces of equipment, training our craftsmen on how to optimize uptime and performance of this equipment, life cycle asset management of all utility systems, leading the site predictive maintenance program, and partnering with process area owners to ensure equipment reliability. 

Responsibilities
  • Identifies and solves repetitive problems through reliability studies and bad actor reviews
  • Support TPM activities throughout the plant by optimization of PMs, looking for inspection opportunities on critical equipment, and regular analysis of SAP activity report data for entire facility.
  • Produces monthly site reliability reports and participates in group reliability meetings to facilitate information sharing and learning between manufacturing facilities
  • Provides the definition of current maintenance and reliability KPI measures. Establishes systems for capturing data required for KPIs and then steps to post them. Trains users on capturing and calculating the data required for KPIs.
  • Provides comprehensive review and analysis of failure and preventative maintenance activities; Identifies and solves repetitive problems through the relentless pursuit of root causes to stop failures.
  • Administers the component change out plan and schedule for continuous minors tracking component failure with manufacturing tons.
  • Tracks the impact and changes in component change out frequency with execution of reliability actions to identify and communicate successes for long term commitment and sustainability of the reliability program
  • Works closely with the project engineers to build reliability into new projects
  • Serves as a technical resource for engineers and craftspeople on reliability issues and trains foremen and craftspeople in all matters pertaining to reliability.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or other appropriate engineering discipline
  • Five (5) years previous experience in maintenance reliability
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to plan, organize and carry out project assignments within a high pressure environment
  • Excellent data analysis skills including use of SAP and MS Excel
