Job Description

Leads key pricing initiatives to address gaps in performance vs. business targets.  Performs pricing analysis and recommendations to implement pricing strategy throughout all consumer and B2B channels.   Responsible for pricing record maintenance and systems execution.
 

Responsibilities Pricing Strategy Development

  1. Supports Pricing Manager in developing/enhancing strategies that optimize our product mix and maximize margin while fully utilizing our production capabilities
  2. Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to understand and balance customer requirements with production and logistics constraints when developing optimal pricing strategy
  3. Support the development of executive-level presentations that summarize and gain alignment on the analysis and the strategic rationale underpinning pricing decisions and expected financial impact 
Guide and Support Consumer Product and B2B P&L Teams

  1. Align pricing strategy targets across Consumer Products and B2B P&L Teams to ensure that the company is implementing the pricing strategy and is maximizing its profitability
  2. Oversee key pricing initiatives to address gaps in financial targets vs. actuals
Pricing Implementation and Analysis

  1. Responsible for implementing pricing strategy at the individual customer level for assigned business segments
  2. Works closely with Sales & Marketing to develop all required documents and tools supporting pricing strategy execution
  3. Provide data-driven pricing recommendations to Pricing Manager based on market and consumer/customer trends and competitive landscape
Price Requests & Maintenance

  1. Responsible for analyzing all price requests and providing a recommendation that is aligned with our pricing strategy
  2. Partner with transportation to ensure accurate use of freight rates in price assessments
  3. Accurately maintains all salt and freight pricing records
  4. Maintains pricing guidelines and price lists for all products, channels and segment
Orders on Price Hold

  1. Accountable for reviewing all orders placed on price hold
  2. Work with cross-functional resources to resolve price discrepancies to ensure all orders are processed efficiently and effectively
Reporting

  1. Perform monthly assessment to compare projected financial impact of pricing actions versus actual results
Qualifications Education:     Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:   4+ years of pricing and/or business-related experience
 
Well-rounded business acumen with proven skills in Marketing, Brand and Finance
P&L management experience preferred, exposure to P&L management required
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent analytical and project management skills
Proven ability to understand, analyze, and implement pricing strategies and effectively communicate and implement recommendations
