Job Description

Develop and maintain an 18-month Master Production Schedule that provides the Operations Management team with an achievable and efficient plan while meeting the supply chain KPI’s.  Develop and implement a strategy to optimize stockpile inventory levels, inventory turns, and product sourcing. 

Responsibilities Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations Management in times of constrained capacity to develop priorities and action plans in order to fulfill customer needs.
Lead / participate in cross functional projects such as seasonal Event Planning, etc. to develop, manage and communicate a timeline and supply plan.
Organize routine meetings with key personnel from Operations team to monitor and updated production forecast requirements
Responsible for the material substitution process and associated daily inventory adjustments
Responsible to establish production forecast and manage process for manufacturing treated salt. Coordinate bulk rock network supply through use of Supply Model (Excel) including BDI and Industrial at the Mines Such supply planning will include STO’s, customer shipments and supply to co-packers. In 2019, transition supply planning to APO/SNP or SAP/IBP
Manage customs paperwork as required
Responsible for tracking and maintaining non-standard sourcing movements
Minimized supply interruption during planned and unplanned production outages at Rock Mines through resourcing and re-distribution of inventory.
Escalate planned downtime that does not have 2+ Month Leadtime
Maintain summary of the supply plan, capacity update, upcoming plant downtimes, and help needed. Detail should be provided to stockpiles/ mines with inventory risk or space issues. Information should be gathered and sent 24 hours prior to the P&L.
Work with Rock Mines in analyzing production capacity in response to incremental business requests (via START). START requests should be completed within 2 days of entry.
Build relationships and partnership credibility with Mining Operations, marine transportation and sales & marketing by establishing monthly or weekly supply consensus calls
Conduct a mid-and end of year survey with stakeholders (plant managers) to gauge progress in the value of the meetings.
Responsible for management of grade balancing at the mines as required
Drive continuous improvement within the Salt Group’s supply chain. 

Qualifications 4-8 Years experience
College Degree Preferred
