Job Description

This job is a support role for the Mine Department at the Weeks Island Facility. Direct Crew Supervision is required, Surveying and other applicable technical skills are preferred to provide hands on Mine, analysis and mapping.

Technical Mine Supervisor will work closely with Engineering and Mine Production Groups focused on regular sampling, monitoring, testing, and mapping of the underground Mine. This role is based in the underground Mine workings and will monitor Mine production and environmental conditions such as ground movement, ventilation, and subsidence. Individual is required to successfully measure, ensure data integrity, analyze, process and communicate results. Attention to detail and applicable skillset is required to identify and communicate any potential concerns related to movement or other anomalies.

Must be able to work independently with little instruction. This is a salaried staff position. Shift Work is Required.

Qualifications
  • Frontline Supervisory Experience required.
  • Mine surveying experience is preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • AutoCAD experience is preferred
  • Experience working with surveying equipment such as total station and level as well as other data logging equipment
  • Ability to work in an underground environment
