Job Description

The Transportation Logistics Analyst jobholder will support the key supply chain strategies and initiatives for the Logistics Execution Team. The jobholder will collaborate with his or her team, other departments and 3rd party supplier/vendors. The jobholder will be responsible for department audits, logistics metrics and reporting initiatives, including Key Performance Indicators. The jobholder will also work with the Logistics team to identify opportunities to improve costs and efficiency. The jobholder will also support implementation of special projects.

Responsibilities Serve as point of contact for both internal and external parties related to order execution such as; order date changes, order cancellations, release of orders for execution.

•         Perform goods receipt and goods issue activities in SAP for a variety of 3PL locations.
Monitor shipment status to ensure timely shipment & delivery of orders on dates requested.

•         Monitor, root cause and resolve EDI IDOC failures related to shipment execution between our carriers or 3PL vendors and SAP.

•         Responsible for transportation freight claims process.
Interface independently with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
Coordinate solutions for daily logistics execution issues with carriers or 3PL warehouse sites as well as internal supply chain personnel to ensure seamless on-time deliveries while exceeding both internal and external customer expectations and KPI’s/performance metrics.

•         Support internal projects focusing on continuous improvement, with a focus on eliminating waste, reducing cost and driving on-time delivery performance with our carriers and 3PL providers.
Any other duties or special projects assigned by manager.

Qualifications
•         Bachelor’s degree preferred, with preference towards Business, Logistics or Operations Management or 1-3 years of experience in accounts payables, supply chain, operations and/or project management preferred.

•         SAP and Transportation Management Systems experience a plus.

•         Experience with Business Warehouse or similar reporting packages, databases and analytical tools

•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Exhibits confidence and ability to interact with various levels both internally & externally.

•         Able to work independently as well as across functional or matrix team structures.

•         Strong analytical skills with high level of organization, follow through & accuracy. Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.

•         Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong track record for execution and follow through when managing critical deadlines.
Able to seek and recommend creative solutions that mutually benefit all parties.
